Sheriff and County Protection Association

October 3, 1972 - All the towns in Osceola County joined the Sheriff and County Protection Association.  Joining the association meant better police protection for all towns.  A deputy would live in each town (Sibley, Ashton, Ocheyedan, Melvin, and Harris), and they would rotate areas of patrol.
