KELOLAND Live Doppler Rain Gauge

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office made a request to receive a free KELOLAND Live Doppler Rain Gauge. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office is the official recorder for the weather in Sibley, Iowa. Our current rain gauge system is frequently mistaken for a trash receptacle by pedestrians walking by the Sheriff's Office.

KELOLAND's donation is greatly appreciated and has proven to provide us with an accurate reading for the rain in our area. The Osceola County Sheriff's Office would like to extend our utmost appreciation for there donation.

Community Foundation of Osceola County

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office has applied for a Community Foundation of Osceola County Grant. The request deadline was November 17, 2010, and the decision date is January, 2011.

In our request, we have requested monies to purchase a Digital Video Recording System to replace a current VHS Video Recording System utilized in one of our fleet vehicles.

Community Foundation of Osceola County

On January 19, 2011, the Community Foundation of Osceola County approved the Osceola County Sheriff's Office grant application for the 2010-2011 grant cycle in the amount of $3,500.00.
